The main theme for this year is “LOOK CLOSER”in commemoration of the 300th anniversary of the birthday of Carl Linneaus2, the founder of the biological naming system.
The core of the project is the “CAROUSEL of SCIENCE”, in which 31 CAROUSEL Partners from 25 countries will exchange their best science communication presentations.
A special programme for a "Group Dialogue Game called TALK3, based on the existing game DECIDE4, will involve schools, science journalists and scientists with our partners EUN and EUSJA.
The LAUNCH Event took place in Berlin, Germany, on February 6, 2007.
The FINAL Event will take place in Lisbon, Portugal, from November 22 to 25, 2007.
These places were chosen according to the EU presidency in this year.
EUSCEA has issued an official call for participation, asking all members and other organisations (who must become EUSCEA members in order to take part) to submit – until 8 January 2007 - their participation in WONDERS 2007.
The Project Management Team selected the organisations to take part in WONDERS 2007, and invited them to send representatives to the LAUNCH.
The project has certain organisation meetings. The Carousel is determined by the dates of the science festivals of the Partners. The complete TIMELINE can be downloaded by clicking HERE.
