9th EUSCEA Annual Conference 2009 - "EAC09" in Perugia, Italy

The 9th EUSCEA Annual Conference 2009 took place in Perugia , Italy, from 13 to 17 May 2009, during the science festival in this wonderful Italian city, see:  Perugia Science Festival 
 
A new version of the EUSCEA SEMINAR  on " how to organise a special science event " was held at the beginning.

The EAC09 consisted of (complete programme HERE ):
  
>> 1. From 13 to 14 May: WONDERS09 : all EUSCEA members were invited to present a science show during the usual Perugia Science Festival. Various members, especially from Tartu (EE), Athens (EL), Budapest (HU) and Nottingham (UK), fascinated the Perugian audiences.
 
>> 2. On 14 May: EUSCEA Seminar . This seminar summarized how to organize a science festival. It is a special seminar for newcomers in the field or for new members of an organizing team.

>> 3. From 15 to 16 May: The EAC09 itself, with two days of sessions, of best practices, discussions etc. The last day was dedicated to the General Assembly (GA) of EUSCEA, where the EUSCEA Executive Board members was elected. 

The current EUSCEA Executive Board members are: 

* President: Jan Riise, SE 
* Vice-President: Herbert Münder, DE 
* Treasurer: Sheila Donegan, IE 
* Vice-Treasurer: Tiiu Sild, EE 
* General Secretary: Peter Rebernik, AT 
* Vice-General Secretary: Leonardo Alfonsi, IT [new]

The GA decided to hold the next EUSCEA Annual Conference, the EAC10, in Berlin, Germany .
 
>> 4. On 17 May: The Launch Event of the 2WAYS project was organised exclusively for the participants of this project, to get all information on how to make this 2WAYS project a success. The "Call for Participation" is HERE .
 
Leonardo Alfonsi  was the organizer of the festival and also the host of the EUSCEA activities. We thank him and his team including his wife for the professional and flawless organisation of them.
